One-Punch Man Has 3.2 Million Copies in Print

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

This year's 20th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced last week that Yūsuke Murata (Eyeshield 21) and ONE's One-Punch Man manga will have more than 3.2 million copies in print as of the sixth volume, which ships on May 2.

The series had 2.2 million copies in print when the fifth volume shipped last year.

The series revolves around the titular super hero who has trained so hard that his hair has fallen out, and who can overcome any enemy with one punch. However, because he is so strong, he has become bored and frustrated with winning all his battles so easily.

The series adapts ONE's original web manga of the same name. The manga is currently running on Shueisha's free Tonari no Young Jump spinoff website.

One-Punch Man is currently serialized in Viz Media's English-language digital edition of Weekly Shonen Jump.
