The June issue of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Daioh is announcing a new Kantai Collection -Kan Colle- (Fleet Collection) manga series on Saturday, titled Kantai Collection -Kan Colle- Tomarigi no Chinjufu and starring Heavy Cruisers Kumano and Suzuya. The manga will be written by Hiroichi with cooperation and direction from Kan Colle administration Chinjufu.

Previous manga adaptations of Kadokawa Games' moe-character card battle game include a series by Sakae Saitō and a four-panel series by Ryota Momoi, published in Comic Alive and the Famitsu Comic Clear online magazine, respectively. An anime adaptation has been green-lit and is slated for summer.

Kadokawa Games launched the original free-to-play browser game with the service provider DMM.com last April. In the game, players compete with cards featuring female moe characters inspired by Japanese World War II warships such as aircraft carriers, battleships, and cruisers. Players build, organize, and repair their anthropomorphized fleet to progress through maps.

The series will begin in the magazine's July issue on May 27 along with two other titles: Mikakunin-kei Crypto Heart (Unknown Group Crypto Heart) by Kotarō Mori (Gurren Lagann manga), and a "secret title." Mori's new series follows a serious high school student named Yūma Mashima who meets a sexy hunter of UMAs (unidentified mysterious animals) and begins a new life in his old town.

Dengeki Daioh's August issue will also debut three new manga series: Suiren Matsukaze will adapt Shōjo wa Shoka no Umi de Nemuru (Girl Sleeps in a Sea of Bookshelves) by Isuna Hasekura (Spice and Wolf novels); Tsuneyoshi will adapt Dare mo Shiranai Tō no Aru Machi (The Town with the Tower No One Knows) by Satoru Akahori (Sakura Wars) with scenario collaboration by Yū Innami; and Taishi Tsutsui will draw Missile to Plankton (Missile and Plankton) based on a story by Romeo Tanaka (Humanity Has Declined).

Update: Typos fixed. Thanks, Demonic+Elemental, Juhachi, and ^__^v.
