posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Manga artist and character designer Masakazu Katsura (Zetman, Video Girl Ai, DNA²) made a brief cameo in the 10th episode of the live-action special effects series Garo -Makai no Hana- on Friday.
The episode, titled "Shokutaku" (dining table), features Katsura as an artist who draws a portrait of the butler Gonza and his old friend Anna. Chief director Keita Amemiya requested Katsura for the role, and Katsura's own illustration was used in the scene.
Katsura made his voice-acting debut in the Tiger & Bunny The Movie -The Rising- film earlier this year.
Garo -Makai no Hana- is the fourth television series set in the Garo universe, and it focuses on Raiga Saejima, the son of previous series' protagonist Kōga Saejima. The series premiered in April.
