Madman Entertainment to Premiere Terror in Resonance at Oz Comic Con

posted on by Jon Hayward
The Australian premiere will be at Melbourne's Oz Comic Con on the 6th of July 2014 and feature a special introduction from director Shinichiro Watanabe.

Madman Entertainment made the announcement via press release and facebook on Friday the 13th of June 2014.

This Australian premiere event will be on Sunday the 6th of July at Melbourne's Oz Comic Con which will be held in the Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton. The screening will be prefaced with a special video introduction from Shinichiro Watanabe.

Additionally Australian and New Zealand fans will be able to watch Terror in Resonance the same day as the Japanese TV broadcast through animelab.com. A home video release will follow at a yet to be determined date.

Terror in Resonance

In a world similar to our own, Tokyo has been hit by a shocking terrorist attack and the only clue hinting at the culprits is a bizzare cryptic video on the internet. However the mastermind behind the plan are two young boys, Nine and Twelve, who together form "Sphinx" a clandestine entity determined to ‘wake the people from their slumber and pull the trigger on this world’.

Terror in Resonance was originally announced by Fuji TV in March to be part of its Noitamina block this July. Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Kids on the Slope) is directing the anime at the studio MAPPA. Yoko Kanno (Macross Plus, Cowboy Bebop, Kids on the Slope) is composing the music and Kazuto Nakazawa (Samurai Champloo) is designing the characters.

Terror in Resonance will have it's world premiere at Anime Expo on the 5th of July and will stream via Funimation in North America and via Anime Limited's Wakanim website in United Kingdom. In Japan, the anime will premiere on Noitamina block on July 10.
