Digimonstory Cybersleuth PS Vita Game's 1st Gameplay Video Shows Off Graphics

Suzuhito Yasuda returns to design characters for 2015 Digimon game that lets players play as male, female protagonist

Bandai Namco Games began streaming a video previewing footage from its upcoming Digimonstory Cybersleuth PlayStation Vita game on Thursday. The video features such Digimon as Agumon, Angewoman, and Terriermon.

The game's story will follow either a female protagonist or a male one (both seen below), depending on the player's choice. When strange phenomena begin occurring, the protagonist becomes a "Cybersleuth," and searches for the truth behind the mysteries along with his or her Digimon and their other human allies: Arata Sanada and Nokia Shiromine. As with the Digimon World Re:Digitize PSP game and its 3DS port Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode, artist and manga creator Suzuhito Yasuda (Durarara!!, Yozakura Quartet, Kamisama Kazoku) will once again provide the character designs for the game.

In the game's dungeons, the player will encounter enemy Digimon to fight against with his or her partner Digimon. When a battle begins, the enemy's data will automatically be collected. When the data-collection rate reaches 100%, the player is able to make the enemy Digimon into an ally.

Bandai Namco Games is developing the game, and is scheduled to ship it in Japan sometime in 2015.
