Ore to Akuma no Blues resumes from 6-year hiatus; Furansu Nikki manga about French Otaku Girls, Rock Me Amadeus music manga planned


The September issue of Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine is announcing on Monday the full line-up for Kodansha's new, upcoming magazine Young Magazine the 3rd.

The premiere issue will feature:

  • Yōsoro!! Yoroshiku Sōrō (RogerThat!!) by Eriko Mishima
  • Villainess -Shinden Kan'ei Gozen Jiai- (Villainess -True Legend of the Kanei Gozen Jiai) by novelist Baku Yumemakura (story) and Shinsora Amai (art)
  • Nemureru Mori no Karon by Sayaka Mogi (Pupa)
  • Ore to Akuma no Blues (Me and the Devil Blues) by Akira Hiramoto
  • Arisō de NASA-sō (Seems To Be There, But Maybe Not) by Yūichi Hiiragi
  • Dai Nihon Samurai Girl Shintō (Super Japan Samurai Girl New Political Party) by Sachi Araki (adapted from a novel by the same name by Ryūsei Shidō)
  • Hana to Kurogane (Flowers & Black Steel) by Nodoka Shinomaru
  • Rock Me Amadeus by Kazu Inabekazu
  • ChronoCrowd by Yūki Izumi
  • Demi-chan wa Kataritai (Demi Wants to Speak) by Petosu
  • Lolikura Hold by Yūkusu
  • Tsuki ga Kirei Desu ne (The Moon is Pretty, Right?) by Edao
  • Dohyō o Kakeru (Advancing in the Arena) by Suzu Tomi
  • Gijinka (Personification Artist) by Shūji Mutō
  • One of the series, titled Furansu Nikki (Rotten Diary, a pun on 'France Diary') is a comedy manga that revolves around Otaku Girls who live in Paris. The book the girl is reading in the preview image reads, L'Attaque des Titans, the French title for Attack on Titan. Sachi Ōshimizu wrote the original story, and artist Yasu is providing the art for the series.

    Hiramoto began his Ore to Akuma no Blues (Me and the Devil Blues) manga in 2004 in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine, but put it on an indefinite hiatus in 2008. This will be the manga's first chapter in nearly six years. Del Rey once licensed and released the series in English.

    The first issue of the Young Magazine the 3rd magazine will be released in Japan on September 5.
