Hiroshi Tamaki, Sōta Fukushi Star in Kyō wa Kaisha Yasumimasu. Live-Action Drama

Series to air on Wednesdays on NTV beginning next month

The male leads in the live-action drama adaptation of Mari Fujimura's Kyō wa Kaisha Yasumimasu. manga were announced on Wednesday. 34-year-old Hiroshi Tamaki (Nodame Cantabile, Ōoku: The Inner Chambers) and 21-year-old Sōta Fukushi (Strobe Edge, Library Wars) will star opposite Haruka Ayase (Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror, Hotaru no Hikari, Socrates in Love) when the series premieres next month.

The love story follows Hanae Aoishi (Haruka Ayase), an office worker in her 30s who has never had a boyfriend. Hanae then starts dating a 21-year-old university student named Yūto Tanokura (Sōta Fukushi). However, Italian food company CEO Yu Asao (Hiroshi Tamaki) is also interested in Hanae.

Shigeki Kaneko (Honey & Clover, Summer Nude) is handling the scripts, and Hiroko Hazeyama is producing the series.

Fujimura launched the manga in the inaugural issue of Shueisha's Cocohana magazine in November 2011. The manga ranked at #2 in Da Vinci magazine's "Book of the Year" list for Female-Oriented Comics for the first half 2013. Shueisha released the sixth compiled book volume in May.

The series will air on Wednesdays on NTV at 10:00 p.m.
