Haikyu!! 3DS Game's Final 3 Promos Narrated by Kageyama, Sugawara, Iwaizumi

Game based on volleyball anime will ship in Japan on September 25

Bandai Namco Games streamed the final three promotional videos for its Haikyu!! Tsunage! Itadaki no Keshiki!! (Haikyu!! Connect! View From the Top!!) game for the Nintendo 3DS. The videos are narrated by Karasuno's Tobio Kageyama (Kaito Ishikawa), Kōshi Sugawara (Miyu Irino), and Aobajōsai's Hajime Iwaizumi (Hiroyuki Yoshino).

Kageyama explains "Haikyu!! Quest," the RPG-style game included with the full game with a download code. In the game, players control a party that includes Hinata, Kageyama, Iwaizumi, Kozume, and Sugawara to defeat Oikawa and his allies, including Aobe, Takeda and Shimizu.

Sugawara explains the card game-like volleyball portions of the game.

In the video, Iwaizumi talks about the game's "tension gauge" and the different teams' specific skills.

Fans voted on the top six characters to narrate each promo. Kei Tsukishima (Kōki Uchiyama), the sixth place winner, narrated the first promotional video, Yū Nishinoya (Nobuhiko Okamoto) narrated the second, and Shōyō Hinata (Ayumu Murase) narrated the third video.

The game will allow players to experience the world of the Haikyu!! anime in two ways: the Adventure Mode and the Game Mode. In the Adventure Mode, depending on the character the player chooses to be the main character, the story may differ from the original manga and anime, as the game will include new plot points. The six choices are Shōyō Hinata, Tobio Kageyama, Daichi Sawamura, Kōshi Sugawara, Asahi Azumane, and Yū Nishinoya.

In Game Mode, the player will battle against their in-game rivals with the character they have powered-up through choosing a training menu. The strategies and in-game drama from the source material will also be included during matches.

The game will ship in Japan on September 25, and first copies of the game will come with a download code to redeem a "Haikyu!! Quest" mini-game. A limited edition "Hero on the Court Box" bundle will contain a tin case, six postcards, a special DVD containing cast comments and footage recreating the Haikyu!! Quest game, and a special art booklet will cost 7,600 yen (about US$76), while a normal copy of the game will retail for 5,690 yen (about US$57).

Production I.G's anime adaptation of Haruichi Furudate's Haikyu!! volleyball manga premiered in April and the last episode aired on Sunday. Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series for North American digital and home video release and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.
