On Monday October 20, Anime Limited will release the Gurren Lagann robot anime series in three different editions; an 'Ultimate Edition' Blu-ray (pictured), a regular Blu-ray edition and a DVD edition.

The Gurren Lagann series is set on a future Earth where people are forced to live in isolated underground villages. One boy uncovers a key to a robot, and the resulting adventures put him in the battles waging on the surface and lead him to the secrets behind humanity's new existence.

The 'Ultimate Edition' is limited to 2000 copies and comes with a rigid artbox and a 50-page hardback artbook. This edition will also include the two Gurren Lagann feature films: Gurren Lagann the Movie –Childhood's End-, (compiled from the 15 TV episodes with some new footage) and Gurren Lagann the Movie – The Lights in the Sky Are Stars (a sequel to the series). In addition, the 'Ultimate Edition' will include Gurren Lagann Parallel Works and Gurren Lagann Parallel Works 2. These two OAVs consist of spinoff shorts that explored the theme of "multiple universes," with background music from the television series.

Manga Entertainment is releasing the feature film The Princess and the Pilot on both Blu-ray (pictured) and DVD. The story is as follows:

The war between the Levamme Empire and the Amatsukami Imperium has been raging for years. In the midst of this struggle, the prince of the Levamme Empire declares his love for Juana del Moral and vows to end the war in one year, as part of his marriage proposal. When the Amatsukami catch wind of this, they assault the del Moral residence, targeting Juana's life. As a last-ditch effort to bring the prince his bride, the San Maltilia Airforce employs a mercenary of mixed blood — a bestado — to fly Juana to the prince in secret. The pilot, Charles, accepts the mission ... but traversing an ocean alone, and into enemy territory, proves a much more dangerous ordeal than anyone could have anticipated.

Jun Shishido (Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger, The Story of Saiunkoku) directed the film. Satoko Okudera (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, Wolf Children) wrote the screenplay, and character designer Hidenori Matsubara (Ah! My Goddess, Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, King of Thorn) adapted the original novel illustrations by Haruyuki Morisawa (Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne). The cast includes Ryunosuke Kamiki (Summer Wars' Kenji Koiso, Howl's Moving Castle's Markl) as Charles Karino. The film opened in Japan in October 2011.

MVM will release the series Devil Survivor 2. The story is as follows:

Nicaea is the latest in social websites, sharing videos of friends faces the moment before they die. So of course high school friends Hibiki Kuze and Daichi Shijima can't resist signing up to check if it's true and they are promptly killed for their curiosity. However Nicaea gives them a second chance, bringing them back from the dead with the ability to summon the "demons" they need to survive against the otherworldly monsters they are suddenly surrounded by. Now together with their friends and a secret organisation, Hibiki and Daichi must work together to stop the end of the world.

Based on the 2011 Nintendo DS game of the same name, Devil Survivor 2 The Animation was directed by Seiji Kishi (Persona 4 The Animation) alongside assistant director Yoshimichi Hirai at studio Bridge. Makoto Uezu was in charge of the series scripts and Kotaro Nakagawa (Zettai Karen Children) scored the music. livetune featuring Fukase (from the band End of the World/Sekai no Owari) performed the opening theme song "Take Your Way" and the Japanese hip-hop group Song Riders performed the ending theme song "Trauma / Be." The series originally premiered in April 2013 and ran for 13 episodes.
