Super Smash Brothers for Wii U Unveils 54 New Features, Including Mewtwo

New promo videos for Amiibo figures & Koopaling antagonists

Nintendo unveiled 54 new features for its upcoming Super Smash Brothers for Wii U game in a Nintendo Direct broadcast on Thursday.

The new features include an eight-player option and Mewtwo as a playable character for players in both versions of the game by next spring.

The official Nintendo YouTube channel also began streaming a promotional video for the Amiibo figures that will link with the Wii U version.

Another new promotional video for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U features Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings as antagonists.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is slated to release in North America on November 21, Europe on December 5 and Japan on December 6. Super Smash Bros. for 3DS launched in Japan on September 13, and North America and Europe on October 3.
