2015's second issue of Kodansha's Evening magazine will announce on Monday that Yokusaru Shibata (Air Master, 81diver) will begin a new series in the fourth issue on January 27. The series will be titled Yōkai Banchō.
The magazine also announced two other new titles. Yukari Nekota will begin a manga adaptation of Keigo Higashino's novel Tenkū no Hachi, which has an upcoming film adaptation, in the fifth issue on February 10. Munehiro Nomura (Torokeru Tekkōjo ) will begin a series with the theme "baseball" in the eighth issue on March 24.
Shibata ended 81diver in July. The manga was adapted into a live-action television series in 2008. Shibata's Air Master manga inspired a television anime in 2003 and Geneon Entertainment and Toei Animation released some of the series on DVD in North America before Funimation picked up the license. Crunchyroll streams the series on its website.
