5pb. Remakes YU-NO Sci-Fi Visual Novel

MAGES. president and composer Chiyomaru Shikura confirmed on Monday that the new project of the MAGES. game brand 5pb. is a full remake of the science-fiction visual novel Kono Yo no Hate de Koi o Utau Shōjo YU-NO (YU-NO: A girl who chants love at the bound of this world.)
Shikura himself will serve as executive producer, and former Cave producer Makoto Asada is producing the project. Ryō Nagi (Ar Tonelico, Steel Chronicle) is designing the characters, and the remake credits the original creator Hiroyuki Kanno (EVE Burst Error) for the scripts. Kanno passed away in 2011, just months after YU-NO and EVE Burst Error composer Ryū Umemoto also passed away.
The original, critically acclaimed 1996 game for the PC-98 computer platform inspired the four-part 1998-1999 adult anime YU-NO.
Shikura had teased on Sunday, "The monumental and greatest work in text adventure game history... I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about, right?"
