Yotsuba&! Le Danboard Stop-Motion Shorts Previewed in Video

NBC Universal Entertainment began streaming a promotional video on Monday for the Blu-ray and DVD release of Le Danboard, the stop-motion animated shorts featuring the Danboard character from Kiyohiko Azuma's Yotsuba&! manga series.
The Blu-ray and DVD release of the shorts will ship in Japan on March 20. The deluxe package of the release will come in a special package, and will come with an original soundtrack CD, as well as a Revoltech Mini Danboard Universal figure.
Studio dwarf (Domo, Komaneko) produced the shorts with music by Kuricorder Quartet (Yotsuba&! image album, tsuritama). Takuma Aoma and Yutaka Kuroki directed the shorts.
In 2012, a Thai public TV show began using Danbo as a mascot character. Several life-size replicas of Danbo's Amazon variant also appeared in the 2011 Pride Parade in Seattle; the online retailer Amazon is headquartered in that city. ASCII Media Works is the publisher of Yotsuba&! in Japan, while ADV Manga and later Yen Press published the manga in North America.
