Ghibli's Princess Kaguya UK Cinema Release on March 20

Studio Canal to distribute Isao Takahata's Oscar-nominated film
Studio Canal has tweeted that it will release Studio Ghibli co-founder Isao Takahata's The Tale of the Princess Kaguya in UK cinemas on March 20. The news follows the film's Oscar nomination on Thursday for Best Animated Feature.
The Tale of the Princess Kaguya is based on the famous Japanese folktale Taketori Monogatari (The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter), which centers on a princess named Kaguya who was discovered as a baby inside the stalk of a glowing bamboo plant. The film won the Animation Film Award at the 68th Mainichi Film Awards.
