Sentai Filmworks Adds Pleiades, Re-Kan, Snafu Too, Hello! Kinmoza, UtaPri Season 3, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Food Wars

North American anime licensing company Sentai Filmworks announced at its Anime Matsuri panel on Friday that it acquired the Wish Upon the Pleiades, Re-Kan!, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!, Hello!! Kin-iro Mosaic, Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love Revolutions, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, and Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Sōma television anime series.

The Wish Upon the Pleiades television anime is the latest collaboration between the car maker Subaru and the anime studio Gainax. The project's story centers around an afterschool club of magical girls who help recover fragments so that an alien from Pleiades can return home. The Pleiades is the English name for the star cluster that the Japanese call "Subaru" — the origin of the car maker's name and six-star logo.

The television anime for Hinako Seta's four-panel manga Re-Kan! centers around Hibiki Amami, a girl who can see ghosts and other supernatural phenomena in her surroundings. The stories follow her daily life with both her friends and the otherworldly. Masashi Kudo (Hayate the Combat Butler! Cuties) is directing the series at Studio Pierrot Plus. Takashi Aoshima (Yuruyuri - Happy Go Lily) is writing and Aoi Yamamoto (Fairy Tail) is designing the characters.

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO! (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. Zoku) is the second season adapting Wataru Watari's original light novels. The romantic comedy revolves around an antisocial high school student named Hachiman Hikigaya with a distorted view on life and no friends or girlfriend. When he sees his classmates talking excitedly about living their adolescent lives, he mutters, "They're a bunch of liars." When he is asked about his future dreams, he responds, "Not working." A teacher gets Hachiman to join the volunteer "service club," which happens to have the school's prettiest girl, Yukino Yukinoshita.

Hello!! KINMOZA is the second anime season adapting Yui Hara's Kin-iro Mosaic manga. The manga begins with Shinobu, a 15-year-old, seemingly "pure Japanese" girl who did a homestay in Great Britain. Even after coming back to Japan, she still misses her time overseas. One day, an air mail letter arrives from Alice, the girl in Shinobu's host family in Great Britain. The letter reads, "Shinobu, I'm coming to Japan!" The "Japanese/British girls' light comedy" follows the lives of Shinobu, Alice, and other girls from both Japan and Great Britain.

Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love Revolutions is the third anime season adapting Broccoli's dating simulation video game for female players. In the slapstick romantic comedy, the female protagonist goes to a school for the performing arts with boys who are budding idols. Makoto Hoshino (Sword Art Online, To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness), episode director for the first two anime seasons, is directing the third series at A-1 Pictures.

J.C. Staff is adapting Fujino Ōmori's Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? (Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru no Darō ka?) light novel series. Yen Press publishes the novels in North America, and it describes the story:

In Orario, fearless adventurers band together in search of fame and fortune within the monstrous underground labyrinth known as Dungeon.

But while riches and renown are incentive enough for most, Bell Cranel, would-be hero extraordinaire, has bigger plans.

He wants to pick up girls.

Is it wrong to face the perils of Dungeon alone, in a single-member guild blessed by a failed goddess? Maybe. Is it wrong to dream of playing hero to hapless maidens in Dungeon? Maybe not. After one misguided adventure, Bell quickly discovers that anything can happen in the labyrinth–even chance encounters with beautiful women. The only problem? He's the one who winds up the damsel in distress!!

J.C. Staff is also adapting Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki's Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Sōma comedy manga. The story follows Sōma, who works with his dad at his family's restaurant. His dad is a culinary master, and he often hosts cooking battles with his father. His father then enrolls him in an elite culinary school that is very difficult to enter, and the graduation rate is only about 10 percent.

Crunchyroll has announced that it is streaming all of these series, except Wish Upon the Pleiades, this spring.
