Persona 4: Dancing All Night Slated For Fall in N. America

Atlus details special edition, launch edition for PS Vita rhythm game

Atlus USA announced on Thursday that it will release the Persona 4: Dancing All Night PlayStation Vita video game this fall. The company began streaming an English lyric video for the opening theme "Dance!"

In addition, Atlus USA detailed its launch edition and "Disco Fever" edition. The standard launch edition of the game will retail for US$49.99 and include a Vita skin and 10 wallpapers. The "Disco Fever" edition will retail for US$79.99 and include two soundtrack CDs, a reversible PlayStation Vita pouch, a Teddie keychain, large collectible box, and DLCs for a bonus song, Persona 3 costumes, and summer break costumes.

Atlus USA confirmed last February that it would release the game.

The game was originally slated for last fall in Japan but was delayed until this year. The website also previously listed Dingo as a developing partner, but now it only lists Atlus and Sega.

The story of the game begins half a year after the Inaba City serial murder case was solved and Rise Kujikawa returns to the world of entertainment. As rumors begin spreading that "at midnight, if you see a strange video playing on a certain site, you are transported to the 'other side' and will never wake up again," members of the idol group "Kanamin Kitchen," which includes Rise's underclassman Kanami Mashita (voiced by Minako Kotobuki), are disappearing.

In the game, the "Hero," Rise, Kanami, Yosuke, Chie, Kanji, Yukiko, Naoto, Nanako, and other Persona 4 characters engage in a "dance battle" with the Shadows in the mysterious world of "Mayonaka Stage."
