Code Geass: Akito the Exiled's 5th Episode Delayed to February

The official website for the the Code Geass: Akito the Exiled anime project announced on Saturday that the fifth and final episode will open in Japan on February 6, 2016. The episode, "Itoshiki Mono-tachi e" (To the Beloved), was originally slated to premiere in Japan this fall.
The series was slated for four episodes, but Sunrise producer Yoshitaka Kawaguchi announced at the third episode's premiere in May that the anime will be expanded to five episodes. The fourth episode, "Nikushimi no Kioku Kara" (From the Memories of Hatred), was rewritten and redubbed to incorporate the fifth episode.
The fourth episode premiered in Japan on Saturday. The official website began streaming a new commercial for the fourth episode that same day:
The website posted the episode's first eight minutes on Wednesday.
The anime's official website revealed in June that the fourth episode will ship on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in Japan on October 28. Both the regular and limited editions of the Blu-ray Disc will include English subtitles.
The third episode of Code Geass: Akito the Exiled premiered in theaters in Japan on May 2 after being delayed from last spring. The second episode premiered in September 2013, following the first episode's debut in August 2012. Funimation licensed the anime in 2013 for release in North America.
The original television anime Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion premiered in Japan in 2006, while Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 premiered in 2008. The Adult Swim network aired both series in North America in 2008. Bandai Entertainment released both seasons on home video in North America before it stopped offering new DVD, Blu-ray Disc, and manga releases in 2012. Funimation announced its license of the series in 2013.
