Animax Asia to Air Irregular at Magic High School, Wizard Barristers This Month

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

International television channel Animax Asia announced on Monday that it will begin airing The irregular at magic high school (Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei) and Wizard Barristers (Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil) TV anime series on the channel in July. Animax Asia also began streaming a commercial for both series.

Animax Asia describes The irregular at magic high school series:

In A.D 2095, magic exists and has been utilized as a form of technology for almost 100 years. This skill of magic is an essential skill, and is also included as one of the main subjects in school.

The story follows Tatsuya Shiba and his sister Miyuki Shiba, both newly enrolled students in the National Magic University Affiliated First High School (aka. First High School). Being an elitist school, students are ranked and placed in different courses according to their grades. Course 1, meant students scored good grades for both their theory and practical (known as “Bloom”). Course 2 on the other hand, meant students scored poorer grades (known as “Weed”). Miyuki topped the entrance exams, and is being selected to be the first years' representative. Tatsuya on the other hand, is being placed in Course 2 due to his low practical test scores.

Enter the world where both magic and science are being studied. See how a Weed can triumph over the Bloom.

Animax Asia will begin airing The irregular at magic high school series with its first two episodes on Monday at 10:00 p.m. in Singapore and the Philippines, and at 9:00 p.m. in Indonesia and Thailand, and it will air four episodes every week (two episodes each on Monday and Tuesday) in the same time slot.

Animax Asia describes the Wizard Barristers series:

Year 2018, in Tokyo, is a time where normal humans and those who use magic co-exist. To cater to this group of people who use magic, laws are being set-up, and a “magic courtroom” exists to preside over lawsuits involving magic use. In these cases, “Benmashi” or Wizard Barristers will take the role of a defender for those who use magic.

Follow Cecil Sudo, the youngest Benmashi in history, and her associates at the Tokyo Ueno Butterfly Law Office as they defend clients in cases involving the use of magic.

Animax Asia will begin airing the Wizard Barristers series with its first two episodes on July 14 at 8:00 p.m. in Singapore and the Philippines, and at 7:00 p.m. in Indonesia and Thailand. The channel will air four episodes every week (two episodes each on Monday and Tuesday) in the same time slot.

Animax Asia also announced last week that it is simulcasting the Charlotte TV anime series on the same day of the anime's airing in Japan.
