This year's 16th issue of Shueisha's Margaret shōjo magazine published the 58th chapter of Arina Tanemura's Neko to Watashi no Kinyōbi (The Cat's and My Friday) manga on Saturday. The chapter starts the manga's final arc.
The manga's story centers around Ai Tachibana, a high school girl in love with a popular upperclassman, Mia Serizawa. She always looks forward to Fridays, when she works the school library and Serizawa always comes to borrow a book. Ai also tutors her fifth grade cousin, Nekota Honjō, who has a crush on her. Nekota is unwilling to let anyone take Ai, and he confesses his love for her. Ai dismisses his confession at first, but slowly begins to see Nekota's dedication.
Tanemura (Full Moon O Sagashite, Phantom Thief Jeanne, The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross) launched the manga in Margaret in February 2013. Shueisha published the manga's ninth compiled book volume on June 25.
Update: Tanemura posted on her Twitter account on Saturday that the manga's 11th volume will be its last.
