YAMAHA also holding design contest for new character August 4-31

YAMAHA announced on Tuesday that Fukase, lead vocalist for the band SEKAI NO OWARI, is providing his voice as the basis for a new Vocaloid virtual character voice library.

In addition, YAMAHA is holding a contest to determine the character design of the new Vocaloid character. The contest is open to all users of the Japanese art website pixiv. Yamaha is accepting entries from August 4 to August 31.

10 winners will be able to put their winning illustration in an item of their choice for free through pixiv's pixivFACTORY service. 10 other winners will win a ticket for two for SEKAI NO OWARI's 2016 tour. 5 other winners will receive a copy of the "VOCALOID4 Library Fukase" signed by Fukase. The illustrator of the grand prize illustration will be hired as the official character designer and illustrator of the new Vocaloid character.

Sachiko Kobayashi also recently provided her voice for a new Vocaloid character named Sachiko.

SEKAI NO OWARI is performing the theme songs for the upcoming live-action Attack on Titan films. The first film's theme song "Anti-Hero" and the second film's theme song "SOS" are both entirely in English.

The four-member Japanese rock band also performed the theme song for the live-action Princess Jellyfish film.
