New pledge rewards added for game's physical Dreamcast release

The Kickstarter campaign for the Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs video game began streaming an extended gameplay trailer for the game last Saturday. The video previews the game's mechanics, stages, and bosses.

The project also revealed last Sunday that it will release the game on the Sega Dreamcast platform, in addition to the Nintendo 3DS and PC (Windows, Mac, Linux), if the Kickstarter campaign succeeds. The campaign also added new pledge rewards for a physical Dreamcast version of the game. Those who pledge US$49 will receive the Dreamcast game with a manual and spine card. Those who pledge US$99 will also receive the game's soundtrack CD. Those who pledge US$139 will also receive an artbook for the game.

The campaign also detailed its list of add-on purchases on Saturday, which range from additional digital copies of the game to an artbook, soundtrack, and more.

The project is seeking to earn US$75,000 by October 5 in order to fund the 16-bit action game. If funded, the game will be released in Europe, America, and Japan. As of press time, the campaign has raised US$28,570.

German studio Firehazard originally announced the game in September 2010 with a planned for release in 2011. Firehazard was still searching for a publisher to release the game as of 2012, and the game was still in development as of 2014.

Studio Pierrot aired the original TV anime series under the name Seijuushi Bismarck in Japan in 1984. World Events Productions(WEP) reworked the series for the U.S. market, and it still holds the rights to the property.
