Hero Company's Original Anime DVD Promos Narrated By Characters, Original Creator

Anime to ship with 8th volume of Kazuhiko Shimamoto's manga

The official YouTube channel for the Japanese company Hero's began streaming three promotional videos on Thursday for the original anime DVD that will bundle with the eighth volume of Kazuhiko Shimamoto's Hero Company manga. The first two are narrated by two of the actors as their characters, while the third is narrated by Shimamoto.

The volume will ship on October 5 in Japan for 864 yen (about US$7) with tax.

The anime will star:

  • Miyu Irino as Ginga Amano/Soft Ice Cream Yellow (top left in image)
  • Tomokazu Sugita as Daichi Hadou/Macaron Navy (top right)
  • Daisuke Namikawa as Syun Busou/Chocolate Red (bottom center)
  • Mai Fuchigami as Hikaru Hyu-ga/Parfait Pink (center left)
  • Lynn as Saki Tsurugi/Langue de Chat White (center right)
  • Katsuyuki Konishi as Kihan Kiba (top center)
  • Tomokazu Seki as Cacao Valentine (bottom left in black and white image)
  • Kikuko Inoue as Ginga's mother (bottom right in black and white image)

Bob Shirohata (Hetalia - Axis Powers, Hiiro no Kakera - The Tamayori Princess Saga) is directing the anime at Studio DEEN. Mitsutaka Hirota (Bakumatsu Rock, The Prince of Tennis II) is writing the scenario, and Shinobu Tagashira (Is This a Zombie?, The Law of Ueki) is designing the characters.

The action comedy manga follows workers at a giant corporation that is dedicated to protecting people from disasters and other events all over the world. Together, they transform into the superheroes Dessert Five: Choco Red, Macaron Navy, Langue de Chat White, Soft Ice Cream Yellow, and Parfait Pink.

Shimamoto (Honō no Tenkōsei, Anime Tenchō, Aoi Honō) launched the manga in Monthly Hero's inaugural issue in 2011.

Veteran anime studio Tatsunoko Productions (Gatchaman, Casshern, Yatterman) already produced a 145-second anime short to promote the 2013 release of the third Hero Company manga volume.
