Indonesian cinema chain CGV Blitz announced on Wednesday that it will offer an advance screening of the Boruto -Naruto the Movie- anime film on November 16, two days before other theaters open the film in Indonesia on November 18.

Indonesian cinema chains Platinum Cineplex and Cinemaxx are also opening the film in the country.

The film premiered in Japan on August 7, earning 680,134,700 yen (around US$5.46 million) in its first three days in the Japanese box-office, selling 516,146 tickets at 268 screens.

Australian distributor Madman Entertainment previously streamed an English-subtitled trailer for the film in July.

Weekly Shonen Jump describes the story of the new film as follows (Note: the below summary contains spoilers for those who have not finished reading the manga):

Boruto is the son of the seventh Hokage Naruto who completely rejects his father. Behind this, he has feelings of wanting to surpass Naruto, who is respected as a hero. He ends up meeting his father's friend Sasuke, and requests to become... his apprentice!? The curtain rises on the story of the new generation written by Masashi Kishimoto!

Yūko Sanpei voiced Boruto (pictured top left in image below) and Kokoro Kikuchi voiced Sarada (pictured top right). Junko Takeuchi returned to play Naruto Uzumaki, and Noriaki Sugiyama returned to play Sasuke Uchiha.

The other cast members include:

Original Naruto manga creator Masashi Kishimoto is credited with the original story, script, and character designs, as well as the chief production supervisor, for the film. Hiroyuki Yamashita (Naruto Shippūden episode director, Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie animation director) directed the film, and Ukyō Kodachi (Chaos Dragon, Neppu Kairiku Bushi Road) collaborated with Kishimoto on the script.

The rock band KANA-BOON contributed their "Diver" song as the theme song, after contributing their "Silhouette" single as the opening theme of the Naruto Shippūden television anime.
