Toshiaki Iwashiro's Kagamigami Manga Ends on Monday

This year's 51st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine will publish the final chapter of Toshiaki Iwashiro's Kagamigami manga on Monday. The final chapter notes that Shueisha will publish the fourth and fifth compiled volumes in January and February, respectively, and asks fans to look forward to Iwashiro's next work.
The manga is based on Iwashiro's one-shot "Shikigami Twilight Days" manga, which ran in Shonen Jump in June 2014. The full manga then premiered in this year's 11th issue on February 9.
Viz Media published the one-shot in July 2014 in its Weekly Shonen Jump digital anthology, and the company then published the first three chapters of the serialized version digitally as Shueisha published chapters in Japan. Viz Media published the chapters as part of its "Jump Start" initiative. The initiative aims to publish the first three chapters of "almost every single" new series that debuts in Shueisha's original Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in Japan.

Mako Miyoshi is a struggling detective who can't get anyone to give her a job. As a child, she had an unusual ability to see a link between objects and their owners. Finding lost objects, even lost people, was just like a game to her. Thinking she was born to be a great detective, she dreamed of the day she would finally become one. Unfortunately, reality wasn't so simple - she lost the ability as an adult. While going after the infamous murderer "The Ripper," she meets Kyosuke Kagami, a Shikigami user, and his sidekick, Haku. As a Shikigami user, Kyosuke can call upon spirits to take over inanimate objects. But some unscrupulous people use Shikigami for the wrong reasons, and that's something he won't stand for.
Shueisha published the manga's third volume in Japan on November 4.
Viz Media previously published Iwashiro's "Sakuran" one-shot digitally in April 2013 about a boy who has an alien living inside his head.
Iwashiro serialized Psyren in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from 2008-2010. Viz Media released all 16 volumes of the series in North America.
