Itoshi no Muco Manga's 9th Volume to Bundle Original Anime DVD

The wraparound jacket band of the eighth compiled book volume of Takayuki Mizushina's Itoshi no Muco manga revealed on Friday that the manga will get an original anime DVD in spring 2016, which will be bundled with a limited edition of the manga's ninth volume.
In addition, the eighth volume revealed that the manga has over 1 million copies in print.
Mizushina's manga depicts the life of the pet dog Muco and his owner Komatsu, who lives in his glass-making workshop in the mountains.
Mizushina launched the manga in Kodansha's Evening magazine in 2011. The manga ranked #6 on the 2013 list of "Top 15 Recommended Manga by Bookstores."
The manga inspired two seasons of the Lovely Movie: Itoshi no Muco television anime, and is currently inspiring the Lovely Muuuuuuuco! television anime. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan. Mizushina's earlier four-panel manga Kemono to Chat also inspired an anime.
