Light novels about high school boy who meets an automata girl

The official website for Yuu Kamiya and Tsubaki Himana's Clockwork Planet light novel series announced on Friday that an anime adaptation is in the works. The action fantasy is set in a world that was destroyed and then entirely rebuilt with clockwork mechanism. A first-year high school boy named Naoto Miura unexpectedly encounters an automata girl.

Kamiya and Himana launched the novel series with illustrations by Shino (Sunday Without God, Lance N' Masques) in 2013, and Kodansha will publish the fourth volume on December 29. Kuro has been drawing a manga adaptation in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine since 2013. Kamiya also wrote the No Game, No Life light novel series and drew the illustrations in A Dark Rabbit Has Seven Lives light novel series. Both of these previous light novel series also inspired anime.
