Animax Asia to Air Durarara!! ×2 The Third Arc Anime on Same Day as Japan

Southeast Asian television channel Animax Asia announced last week that it will air the Durarara!! ×2 The Third Arc (Durarara!!×2 Ketsu) anime series on January 10. The series will premiere and air on the same day as Japan, at 9:00 p.m. in Indonesia and Thailand, and 10:00 p.m. in Singapore and the Philippines.

Ikebukuro, a city teeming with the most peculiar characters and the twisted schemes they indulge in. In the aftermath of the assault against the information broker, signs of new disorder begin to develop like ripples across the water. Holding his own ideals, the young man who gains the powers of both the "Dollars" and the "Blue Squares" treads the path to total annihilation. Someone struggles to save their best friend while a psychopath creeps up on a popular idol, slowly but surely, a new threat gains power within the city's shadows....Paths cross and trouble brews as the plot thickens in this complicated web of conspiracies. Durarara!!×2 Ketsu (Conclusion) is the third and final part of the three-part Durarara!!×2 sequel TV anime series. The first part (Durarara!!×2 Shō or "understanding") premiered in January 2015 and ran for 12 episodes, and the second part (Durarara!!×2 Ten or "motion") premiered in July 2015 and ran for 12 episodes.
FLOW will perform the opening theme song "Steppin' Out," and Penguin Research will perform the ending theme song "Joker ni Yoroshiku" (Say Hello to Joker) for the series.
The sequel series also inspired the Durarara!!×2 Ten Gaiden!? video anime that premiered in Japanese theaters on November 14.
