Yuikaori duo to perform on March 12

Yuikaori, the musical duo of voice actresses Yui Ogura and Kaori Ishihara, announced on Sunday a "Rainbow Canary!! ~Brightest Stage~" concert at the famed Nippon Budōkan arena. They made the announcement during the final performance of their previously announced "Rainbow Canary!!" concert tour at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall in Yokohama's Minato Mirai area. "Rainbow Canary!!" had an attendance of almost 12,000 people — the most in Yuikaori's history — during four performances in three cities.

"Rainbow Canary!! ~Brightest Stage~" will take place on March 12. Advance ticket sales are open now, with general sale opening February 27. Tickets are 7,200 yen (about US$60, tax included).

At "Rainbow Canary!!," Yuikaori performed 20 songs, including "Ring Ring Rainbow," "Our Steady Boy," and the new "Tsubasa ni naru yo."

The unit formed in 2009. Yuikaori released the single "Ring Ring Rainbow!!" last August with the opening theme song for the television anime of Ayumu Kasuga's four-panel manga Jōkamachi no Dandelion (Castle Town Dandelion). The two voice actresses also voiced Hikari and Kanade Sakurada in the anime.

Nippon Budōkan is a Tokyo indoor arena venue that can seat about 14,000 attendees, although it typically seats 10,000 or less when configured for musical concerts.

Mamoru Miyano was the first male voice actor to perform at the arena. GRANRODEO (with voice actor Kishô Taniyama), OLDCODEX (with voice actor Tatsuhisa Suzuki), Nana Mizuki, Yukari Tamura, Yui Horie, Maaya Sakamoto, Minori Chihara, and Kana Hanazawa have performed in the arena as well. Vocaloid digital idol Hatsune Miku hosted her "Hatsune Miku Miracle Mirai 2015" concert at Budōkan on September 4 and 5. Voice actor Daisuke Ono will host a two-day performance at the venue on January 16-17.
