Players follow Kazuma's party on quests in comedy RPG

Kadokawa announced on Friday that the first limited edition Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume for the KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!! (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!) anime will include an original PC game titled Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! in the life. The first Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume will ship on March 25 in Japan for 7,600 yen (about US$67) and 6,600 yen (about US$58), respectively.

Game creator tachi, who won an award at the 4th Niconico Self-Made Game Fest, is creating the game using the "RPG Tsukuru VX Ace" software. In the comedy game, players control Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness on quests. Japanese video game news website 4Gamer has posted more screenshots from the game.

Natsume Akatsuki's light novel series centers around Kazuma Satō, a hikikomori (shut-in) die-hard fan of games, anime, and manga. A traffic accident brings his disappointingly brief life to an end … or it should have, but he wakes up and sees a beautiful girl who introduces herself as a goddess. "Hey, I have some good news — would you like to go to an alternate world? You may only bring one thing you like with you."

He responds, "…So, I'll bring you." With that, he is transported to another world and his great adventure subjugating the demon king begins … but first the hard work of finding food, clothing, and shelter begins. Kazuma wants to live in peace, but the goddess raises one problem after another, and then the demon king's army has its eyes set on him.

The anime premiered on January 13 on Tokyo MX and other channels, and Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan.

In addition to the television anime, the light novel will get an original anime DVD (OAD) bundled with the limited edition 20th volume of Akatsuki's light novel series. Akatsuki will pen the episode's original story featuring the character Yunyun, who has not been revealed for the television anime.

Akatsuki launched the light novel series with illustrations by Kurone Mishima (The Devil Is a Part-Timer! High School! manga) in 2013. The light novels already inspired a Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Bakuen o! spinoff novel series, and Masahito Watari launched a manga adaptation of the original novels in Kadokawa's Monthly Dragon Age magazine in September 2014.
