Noragami Stage Play Gets New Run in February

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Hiroki Suzuki, Keisuke Ueda return to star in new play in Tokyo

The stage play adaptation of Adachitoka's Noragami manga announced on Saturday that the play will get a new run in February 2017. The staff of the Noragami Aragoto television anime series made the announcement at the "Noragami Aragoto -Matsurigoto-" event on Saturday.

The new play will run at the AiiA 2.5 Theater Tokyo, and it will see the return of Hiroki Suzuki as Yato and Keisuke Ueda as Yukine. The staff will reveal more cast at a later date.

The previous stage play ran at the AiiA 2.5 Theater Tokyo for eight performances from January 28-31. A DVD release of the play will ship on May 27.

Kodansha Comics is releasing Adachitoka's original manga in English as well as the Noragami: Stray Stories manga. The original manga inspired a 12-episode television anime series that premiered in January 2014, and Funimation streamed the series as it aired and released it on home video. The anime's second season, titled Noragami Aragoto, premiered last October, and Funimation also streamed that series as it aired.

The limited editions of the 10th and 11th volumes of the manga each bundled an anime DVD when they shipped in February 2014 and July 2014, respectively. The limited editions of the 15th and 16th volumes (16th volume pictured at left) also bundled anime DVDs last November and in March.
