Ryūsei Yokohama, Hiroki Suzuki, Sayaka Kanda will reprise roles

The staff of the Danganronpa The Stage 2016 ~Kibō no Gakuen to Zetsubō no Kōkōsei~ (Danganronpa The Stage: The Academy of Hope and the High School Student of Despair) stage play announced on Saturday that the Super Danganronpa 2 The Stage ~Sayonara Zetsubo Gakuen~ (Danganronpa 2 The Stage: Goodbye Despair Academy) stage play, the second stage play adaptation of the video game series, will get a rerun next year. The new play, titled Super Danganronpa 2 The Stage ~Sayonara Zetsubo Gakuen~ 2017, will run at the Zepp Blue Theater Roppongi in Tokyo starting on March 16, and will then run at the Morinomiya Piloti Hall in Osaka starting on March 30.

The play will once again star Ryūsei Yokohama and Hiroki Suzuki (both seen below in costume as their characters in the play's previous run). In addition, Sayaka Kanda will appear once again in a special video role. Yokohama played Hajime Hinata in the original play, and Suzuki played Nagito Komaeda. Kanda played Junko Enoshima in both the original 2014 run of the first stage play, and the rerun that ended on Saturday.

TARAKO will voice Monokuma in the upcoming play, after having replaced Nobuyo Ōyama in the role in April in the various iterations of the franchise.

The upcoming play is a rerun of the December 2015 stage play, which adapts the second game in the series. The first stage play debuted in October 2014, while its rerun debuted in Tokyo on June 16, and ended its run in Kanagawa on Saturday.
