"ME!ME!ME!" director helms music video; stream available for 24 hours

Singer Hikaru Utada's YouTube channel began streaming a music video for her song "Sakura Nagashi," the theme song for Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo, set to scenes from the film. The music video features cuts that were not used in the original film. The video will be available for 24 hours.

Studio Khara's Hibiki Yoshizaki directed the music video. In addition to serving as a designer on Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo, Yoshizaki directed the Japan Anima(tor)'s Exhibition shorts "ME!ME!ME!" and "GIRL."

The video will be on exhibit at Studio Khara's 10th anniversary exhibition at Harajuku's Laforet Museum from November 23-30.

Utada will release Fantôme, her first full album in eight years, on September 28. The album will include the song "Sakura Nagashi."

Utada has performed theme songs for all three films so far in the new four-part Evangelion film project. Studio Khara and Kazuya Tsurumaki created a music video for "Beautiful World," Utada's theme song for the second film.
