Seven Seas Licenses Don't Meddle With My Daughter, Red Riding Hood & the Big Sad Wolf Manga

Nozomu Tamaki's superhero manga ships August 29, Shin Hachijō's romance manga on June 25

North American manga licensor Seven Seas Entertainment announced on Thursday that it has licensed Nozomu Tamaki's Don't Meddle With My Daughter (Uchi no Musume ni Te o Dasu na!) and Shin Hachijō's Red Riding Hood and the Big Sad Wolf (Akazukin-chan wa Ōkami-san o Nakasetai!) manga.

Seven Seas will print Don't Meddle With My Daughter from the Dance in the Vampire Bund creator in three single volumes with at least one full-color illustration each, "shrink-wrapped for mature audiences." The publisher will release the first volume on August 29 for US$12.99. It describes the manga:

Meet “The Eighth Wonder”—a mother-daughter team of superheroes! Athena Haruka, the original Eighth Wonder, disappeared twenty years ago after a battle with the villainous organization, Blowjob. Now, Eighth Wonder has reappeared—but it's Athena's daughter, Clara, recruited to fill her mother's superhero shoes. When her daughter makes her debut as a superhero, Athena must leave the comforts of retirement, don her costume once again, and return to fighting crime so she can keep her daughter safe. But are the combined skills of these two super-powered women enough to combat what the world has in store for them?

Tamaki launched Don't Meddle With My Daughter in Shonengahosha's Young Comic magazine in 2014, and ended it in May 2015. Seven Seas released all volumes of Tamaki's Dance in the Vampire Bund as well as the sequels and spinoffs Dive in the Vampire Bund, Dance in the Vampire Bund: The Memories of Sledge Hammer, and Dance in the Vampire Bund II: Scarlet Order. Seven Seas also released Tamaki and Kent Minami's Angel Para Bellum manga. Dance in the Vampire Bund inspired a television anime in 2010.

Seven Seas will print Red Riding Hood and the Big Sad Wolf in single volumes with at least one full-color illustration every volume. It will release the first volume on June 13 for US$12.99. It describes the manga:

Once upon a time there lived a kind, sensitive Wolf. He loved the warm sun, the beautiful flowers, and the song of the birds. But one day the Wolf encountered a girl in a red hood. She delighted in making the Wolf cry, and immediately fell in love with his sorrowful face. Now she brings her colorful friends to torment him every day! What is the story behind all the strange characters populating the deep dark wood, and what is a big, sad wolf to do?

Hachijō launched the ongoing manga in Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine in September 2015. Ichijinsha published the manga's first compiled book volume on June 25.
