Voice Actress Duo every-ing! Goes on Hiatus in November

posted on by Egan Loo
Final concert after both turn 20 that month; both will still work with HoriPro

The voice actress unit every♥ing! announced at the final Tokyo concert in their "every♥ing! Fantasia-Show 2017 ~Lesson2 Sweet 19 Dream~" tour on Sunday that they will "graduate (go on hiatus)" this November. The 20th birthdays of the two members Ibuki Kido and Erii Yamazaki will also be in November (November 14 and November 20, respectively). The duo will hold a graduation concert on November 26 at Tokyo's Nakano Sun Plaza.

The announcement emphasized that both members will continue to work in their individual careers after their "graduation," and the agency HoriPro plans to continue managing both voice actresses.

The two HoriPro-affiliated voice actresses formed their unit in June 2014 and made their debut under the King Records label with the song "Yume-iro Gakuin Kōka" (Dream-Colored Academy Song). The unit's name is a wordplay on Ibuki ("Ibu" is pronounced the same way in Japanese as the English word "eve"), Erii (pronounced similarly to "-ery"), the heart symbol "to represent cuteness," and "-ing!" to invoke the "present progressive form with high spirits."

The duo performed television anime theme songs for Pupa, Meshimase Lodoss-tō Senki Sorette Oishii no?, Re-Kan!, Ōya-san wa Shishunki!, and most recently, this winter's Nyanko Days and Akiba's Trip.

The duo was originally planned as a "high school girl unit" and was slated to end when the two graduated from high school in real life. However, the members and their staff, with the unexpectedly massive support from their fans, decided to extend their partnership until their 20th birthdays.
