Rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation announced on Friday that it will host a concert at the Teragram Ballroom venue in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 2. Tickets for the event go on sale on May 23 at 10:00 a.m.

The concert is part of the band's 2017 world tour. The world tour kicks off in Tokyo on June 26-27. After the performance in Los Angeles, the band will also perform in Brazil, Mexico, and Peru in July.

Asian Kung-Fu Generation consists of guitarist and vocalist Masafumi Goto, guitarist Kensuke Kita, bassist Takahiro Yamada, and drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi. The band formed in 1996, and had their major debut in 2003 with their "Mirai no Kakera" single. The band received international acclaim in 2004 after a string of successful singles and the release of their second album, Sol-fa. The title song from their "Rewrite" single was featured as an opening theme song for the Fullmetal Alchemist anime, and their "Haruka Kanata" song also featured as an opening theme song for Naruto. The band also performed theme songs for such anime as Bleach, Tekkonkinkreet, and Naruto Shippūden. The band released a new version of their "Re:Re" song from the Sol-fa album in 2016 to serve as the opening theme song for the ERASED anime.

The band is also known for their collaboration with artist Yūsuke Nakamura, who illustrates the covers for their albums. Nakamura has also done character design work on The Tatami Galaxy anime and the Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome film, both by director Masaaki Yuasa, and both with theme songs by Asian Kung-Fu Generation.
