Elex Media Licenses Deatte 5-byō de Battle Manga

Indonesian publisher Elex Media Komputindo revealed last week that it has licensed Saizō Harawata and Miyakokasiwa's Deatte 5-byō de Battle (A Battle 5 Seconds After Meeting Each Other). The company will publish the manga's first volume on July 19.
The manga centers on Akira Shiroyanagi, a boy who loves games and hates being bored. One day, he is suddenly chased by a monster, but also inexplicably gains powers, and is locked into a supernatural battle before he even knows what is happening. But rather than feeling scared or even inconvenienced by the sudden development in his life, he is actually happy.
Harawata launched the original web manga before Miyakokasiwa launched a "remake" of the manga with new art by Miyakokasiwa in Shogakukan's Ura Sunday web comic magazine in 2015. Shogakukan published the manga's fourth compiled book volume on March 17.
Miyakokasiwa draws the manga adaptation of Tetsuto Uesu's The Testament of Sister New Devil light novel series, which launched in Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine in 2013. Kadokawa published the manga's eighth volume last August.
