Ryukishi07's Hotaru-Bi no Tomoru Koro ni Manga Ends Next Month

This year's February issue of Futabasha's Monthly Action magazine announced on Thursday that Ryukishi07 and Nokuto Koike's Hotaru-Bi no Tomoru Koro ni (When the Firefly Light Burns) manga will end in the next issue on February 24.
Writer Ryukishi07 (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Umineko no Naku Koro ni) and artist Koike (Mitsu no Shima) launched the manga with "chapter 0" in December 2015. Futabasha published the third compiled volume on September 12.
The manga is part of the Koro ni series and follows a protagonist coming to a depopulated village for a grandmother's funeral and getting involved in a survival game. Ryukishi07's Umineko no Naku Koro ni ~Saigo de Saisho no Okurimono book, which shipped in December 2015, contained a prologue novel that connected Umineko no Naku Koro ni to Hotaru-Bi no Tomoru Koro ni.
