Houston's Anime Matsuri to Host Sailor Moon Crystal Director Chiaki Kon

The official website for the Sailor Moon franchise announced on Friday that the Sailor Moon franchise will have a presence at this year's Anime Matsuri convention in Houston.
As part of the event, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal: Season III director Chiaki Kon is attending the convention and will host a talk event. Joining Kon is original Sailor Moon manga editor Fumio Osano. Osano is also the editor-in-chief of Kodansha's Shonen Magazine Edge magazine, and also served as a supervisor on all three Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal anime series.
Kon has also directed such anime as When They Cry - Higurashi, Umineko - When They Cry, Nodame Cantabile: Paris, Nodame Cantabile: Finale, Junjō Romantica (all three seasons), Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi - The World's Greatest First Love (both seasons), and Hanasakeru Seishōnen. She is directing the upcoming anime film Tokimeki Restaurant: Miracle6.
Kon is returning for the fourth season of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal, which will be a two-part theatrical anime project. The films will cover the "Dead Moon" arc of Naoko Takeuchi's original manga.
The event will also host a "Sailor Moon Store," similar to the recently opened store in Tokyo's Harajuku area. Fans can also join "Pretty Guardians," the official fanclub for Sailor Moon, at the convention.
Anime Matsuri will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston from March 29 through April 1. Other guests include the B-PROJECT idol group, SKE48 member Yua Mikami, and voice actor Tetsuya Kakihara.
Last year Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Musical held a special performance at Anime Matsuri.
