Rejet Reveals Release of Diabolik Lovers, Dear Vocalist Music CDs

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Music CD releases are part of Rejet's 10th anniversary project

Rejet's countdown teaser website opened on Tuesday, revealing that it plans to release music CDs for both its Diabolik Lovers Zero project and its Dear Vocalist franchise as part of its 10th anniversary. Rejet had launched a countdown to the website last week.

Rejet announced the Diabolik Lovers Zero project in January earlier this year. Rejet will release 13 character song CDs, one for each character in the project, with one CD every month from August 2018 to August 2019.

The Dear Vocalist franchise will get two new albums on September 19.

The 10th anniversary page has placeholders for 10 total projects. So far the website has revealed three of those projects: the CDs for both Diabolik Lovers Zero and Dear Vocalist, and 10th anniversary collaborative merchandise.

Rejet's original Diabolik Lovers vampire drama CD and PlayStation Portable game project centers around the six sadistic Sakamaki vampire brothers. Yui Komori is a positive-thinking girl who nevertheless is troubled by seeing spirits and experiencing poltergeist phenomena. In her second year in high school, she transfers to a new school — a night school for entertainers and celebrities — due to her father's work. There are rumors that there are vampires among the student body, and Yui ends up living with the Sakamaki brothers.

The studio ZEXCS adapted the franchise into a television anime in 2013, and the second season, Diabolik Lovers More, Blood, premiered in September 2015. Crunchyroll streamed both series as they aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks released both anime on home video with an English dub.

The franchise has also inspired three stage plays. The most recent play ran from January 24-28 in Tokyo.

Idea Factory and Rejet's Diabolik Lovers Grand Edition PlayStation 4 game shipped in Japan on March 29.
