Anime Expo to host anime's designer Sushio, creative officer Hiromi Wakabayashi

A teaser commercial during the broadcast of the DARLING in the FRANXX anime announced on Saturday that the anime studio Trigger and the game publisher Arc System Works are collaborating on the Kill la Kill anime's first game, Kill la Kill the Game -If- (Ifu).

Arc System Works is publishing the game in the "Kill la Kill Battle Action" genre, and APLUS (Little Witch Academia game) is developing it. The game for one to two players will debut next year, but the staff has not yet announced or established the price, platform, or age rating.

The Anime Expo convention in Los Angeles will have the latest details on the game starting on July 6. (Studio Trigger will have an industry panel at 5:30 p.m. that day.) Arc System Works will have a booth at the convention, and the anime's character designer Sushio and creative officer Hiromi Wakabayashi will also visit America for the game.

Trigger's latest projects include a collaboration with A-1 Pictures on the DARLING in the FRANXX television anime, which premiered in January. The studio is also working on the SSSS.Gridman anime, which will premiere this fall. Anime Expo will host the world premiere of the anime with Wakabayashi and other Japanese guests on July 6.

Arc System Works is best known for its fighting game series Guilty Gear and Blazblue. The developer recently worked on Bandai Namco Entertainment's Dragon Ball FighterZ, and recently released the Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle crossover fighting game.

Trigger's website had hosted a countdown to tease the announcement.
