Japanese, English voices of Goku to attend panel about upcoming film

The official Twitter account for New York Comic Con (NYCC) announced on Friday that it will host voice actress Masako Nozawa and director Tatsuya Nagamine for a panel on the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Broly film on Friday, October 5. Sean Schemmel, the English dub voice of Goku, will also attend the panel.

Nozawa has voiced roles in more than 200 anime, but is probably best known for playing Goku and his sons in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. She has also played Tetsuro Hoshino in Galaxy Express 999, Dr. Kureha in One Piece, Kitarō in Gegege no Kitarō, and Guilmon in Digimon Tamers. She voiced the character Medama Oyaji in this year's Gegege no Kitarō anime. She has also been involved with radio and TV narrations, as well as the dubbing of American movies such as The Poseidon Adventure, Richie Rich, and Meet the Parents.

Nagamine has directed anime such as Beet the Vandel Buster, Heartcatch Precure!, One Piece Film Z, and One Piece: Heart of Gold. He is directing the Dragon Ball Super: Broly film, which will open in Japan on December 14 and in the United States and Canada in January.

NYCC is partnering with Anime Expo to host the "Anime Fest @ NYCC x Anime Expo" event as part of the convention this year. Other Japanese guests will include Cowboy Bebop character designer Toshihiro Kawamoto, screenwriter Keiko Nobumoto, and mechanical designer Kimitoshi Yamane.
