posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
PS4, PS Vita, Steam game launched in Europe on Friday, launches in N. America on September 25

London-based game publisher PQube began streaming a launch trailer on Friday for the Punch Line visual novel adventure game for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Steam.

The game launched on Friday in Europe for PS4 and PS Vita, and will launch on September 25 in North America.

PQube describes the game:

Yūta Iridatsu is a pretty normal high school kid, with one exception: he faints if he sees girls' panties. You never quite notice how frequent panty flashes can be until they ruin your day – he has to not look, or it's lights out!

When he one day finds himself in the midst of a bus hijacking incident, he meets the famed vigilante crime fighter Strange Juice, and something unexpected happens to Yūta – his soul separates from his body. Stuck in a ghostly incorporeal form, he finds that his penchant for panties has disastrous consequences.

Able to travel back in time to before the destruction of the Earth, Yūta's task is clear – solve this mystery! What happened to turn Yūta into a ghost? How can he time travel? Why does fainting at the sight of panties cause destruction of the world!? Answers must be found! …right after checking out the panties on that girl over there.

5pb. Games released the game in Japan for PS4 and PS Vita in April 2016.

The anime's character designer Shōta Iwasaki, writer Kōtarō Uchikoshi, and musical composer Tetsuya Komuro also worked on the game with director Takumi Nakazawa (KID's infinity games, Memories Off 2nd) and producer Kazuhiro Ichikawa. The original cast from the anime reprised their roles in the game. The game offered a different ending from the anime.

The 12-episode Punch Line anime series premiered in April 2015 on Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks released the anime on home video in North America.
