Voices of a Distant Star Manga's Sahara Draws New Bus Hashiru 1-Shot

Omnibus series will get new edition in November

The November issue of Tokuma Shoten's Comic Zenon revealed on September 25 that Mizu Sahara will draw a new one-shot for her Bus Hashiru. (The Bus Takes You and Runs) omnibus manga in the magazine's next issue on October 25. In addition, the magazine announced that the omnibus series will get a new edition that will ship on November 20 from Tokuma Shoten.

The one-shot centers on a boy and girl, both wounded by love, who meet at a bus stop, where something new blooms between them.

Bus Hashiru. is a collection of five short stories by Sahara, published in a compiled volume in 2007 along with two stories for Sahara's Nanairo Sekai series. Shinchosha published the original edition.

Sahara adapted Makoto Shinkai's The Voices of a Distant Star and The Place Promised in Our Early Days into manga. Tokyopop released the former in North America in 2006. Sahara's My Girl manga inspired a live-action television series in 2009. Sahara also drew the Same Cell Organism, The Day I Become a Butterfly, Himeyuka & Rozione's Story, and Tengu-Jin manga under the name Sumomo Yumeka. Digital Manga Publishing released the Same Cell Organism and The Day I Become a Butterfly boys-love manga in 2006 and 2007, respectively. Aurora Publishing, Inc. released Tengu-Jin in 2009, while Yen Press released Himeyuka & Rozione's Story in 2010.

Sahara and Michiharu Kusunoki ended Kami-sama no Joker in November 2016 and the third and final volume of the manga shipped in January 2017.

Sahara launched a new manga titled Watashi to Watashi in Comic Zenon on March 24.
