Arc System Works Develops Granblue Fantasy Versus Fighting Game for PS4

Cygames announced at the "Granblue Fantasy Fes" event on Saturday that Arc System Works is developing a fighting game for the Granblue Fantasy franchise titled Granblue Fantasy Versus. The game will launch for the PlayStation 4 in Japan in 2019.
Playable characters in the game so far include Gran, Katalina, Charlotta, Lancelot, and Ferry. Stella Magna is composing the music for the game.
Cygames released the original Granblue Fantasy smartphone game in 2014, and the game has more than 23 million downloads.
The first anime adaptation of the smartphone game premiered in Japan in April 2017 and ran for 13 episodes. The show's seventh and final Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume, which shipped on October 25, included an unaired episode titled "EXTRA 2." Aniplex of America streamed the series on the services Crunchyroll, Daisuki, and Anime Strike.
The Zankutinzeru-Hen (Zankutinzeru Arc) anime special debuted in Japan in January 2017. Crunchyroll, Daisuki, and Anime Strike streamed the special. Aniplex of America released the anime on Blu-ray Disc with an English dub on May 15 and July 17.
Cygames and Platinum Games are developing the Granblue Fantasy Project Re:LINK game for PlayStation 4. The companies plan to localize the game in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
