posted on by Karen Ressler
Both series leave on December 31

Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that the Hana-Saku Iroha and Tono to Issho anime will expire from its catalog on December 31 at 10:00 a.m. EST.

The 26-episode Hana-Saku Iroha television anime series aired in 2011, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired. NIS America released the anime series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in two sets in 2013. It also released the Hanasaku Iroha: Home Sweet Home anime film.

Crunchyroll describes the story:

Hana-Saku Iroha centers around 16-year-old Ohana Matsumae who moves from Tokyo to out in the country to live with her grandmother at an onsen ryokan named Kissuisō.

Crunchyroll also streamed the first and second seasons of Tono to Issho as they aired in Japan in 2010 and 2011, respectively. The series has not had a home video release in North America.

Ohba-Kai's original Tono to Issho manga is a 4-panel gag series which follows the humorous exploits of generals during Japan's tumultuous sengoku (Era of the Warring States) period.
