New manga is 1 of 2 new series to launch in magazine in early spring

This year's 13th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that Daijirō Nonoue will launch a new manga in the magazine's 14th issue on March 4. The new manga is titled Saigo no Saiyūki (The Last Saiyūki), and the first chapter will be 54 pages long with an opening color page. The "unprecedented Saiyūki story" (Saiyūki is the Japanese title of the Journey to the West story) will center on a boy whose younger sister has a power of someone who is not human.

Saigo no Saiyūki is the first of two new manga that will launch in early spring in the magazine.

Nonoue serialized the two-volume Mutō Black manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2013. Nonoue also published the two-chapter "Ikimono Seitai Kansatsu Variety: Bokura wa Minna" short manga on the Shonen Jump+ app and website in May 2015, and has also published one-shots in the Weekly Shonen Jump and Jump Next! magazines.
