Odex Opens One Piece Stampede Anime Film in Southeast Asia

Film opens in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines; opens in Japan on August 9

Odex announced on Saturday that it will screen the the One Piece Stampede anime film in theaters in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, and the Philippines. The company did not reveal opening dates for these territories.

The film will open in theaters in Japan on August 9, in celebration of the anime's 20th anniversary. The film's guest cast members include:

Yūsuke Santamaria as Buena Festa, a promoter for the "Pirate's World Fair," a festival by pirates and for pirates

Rino Sashihara as Ann

Ryōta Yamasato as Donald Moderate

Tsutomu Isobe as Douglas Bullet, a former member of Roger's pirate crew

Original manga creator Eiichiro Oda designed Ann, a singer who can create illusions, for the "One Piece Live Attraction 3 Phantom" attraction at the Tokyo One Piece Tower indoor theme park in 2017. Saori Hayami voiced the character in the stage production.

The latest anime film in the One Piece franchise, One Piece Film Gold, opened in Japan in July 2016. Funimation screened the film in theaters in the United States with an English dub in January 2017. The company then released the film on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in May 2017.

A One Piece film opened every year in Japan between 2000-2009. The 30-minute One Piece 3D: Mugiwara Chase film opened in March 2011, and the One Piece Film Z movie opened in December 2012.
