Nanana's Buried Treasure Author, Majestic Prince Manga Artist Launch New Manga (Updated)

Kazuma Ōtorino writes, Hikaru Arashima draws new Azalea manga

The July issue of Hero's Inc.'s Monthly Hero's magazine revealed on June 1 that Kazuma Ōtorino and Hikaru Arashima will launch a new manga titled Azalea in the magazine. The issue did not reveal the launch date for the new manga, but noted that the manga's next issue in July will have a preview one-shot. Ōtorino is writing the manga, while Arashima is drawing the art.

Ōtorino's Ryūgajō Nanana no Maizōkin (Nanana's Buried Treasure) light novel series (pictured at right) launched in 2012, and ended in 2016 with 12 volumes. The illustrator Akaringo provided illustrations for the novels up to the seventh volume, before Non took over as illustrator due to Akaringo's poor health. The novel series inspired a television anime in 2014. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and Daisuki began streaming the series one month after its Japanese broadcast.

Arashima and Rando Ayamine launched their manga adaptation of Fields' Majestic Prince multimedia project in Monthly Hero's in 2011, and ended it on March 1. Hero's Inc. published the manga's 16th and final volume on May 2. A television anime in the project ran for 24 episodes in 2013. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks released the anime on home video in North America in 2014 with an English dub. The franchise received a new film in November 2016, as well as a brand-new "episode 25" for the television anime in September 2016 to bridge the plot of the television anime to the new film.

Update: The August issue of Monthly Hero's announced on July 1 that the manga will launch in the September issue on August 1. A preview of the manga is available now. Source: Monthly Hero's August issue
