Manga ran from 2008 to 2013, inspired TV anime in 2012

Indonesian publisher Elex Media released the first volume of Yoshiaki Sukeno's Binbogami-ga! manga in Indonesia last week on August 14.

The supernatural comedy revolves around Ichiko Sakura, a girl whose blissful life comes from her bountiful "happiness energy" — gained by sapping that energy from other people. To restore the balance, the Binbō-gami (Poverty God) Momiji Binbada attempts to eliminate her.

Sukeno launched the manga in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine in 2008, and ended it in July 2013. Shueisha published 16 compiled book volumes for the manga. The manga inspired a 13-episode anime series in 2012.

Sukeno launched the Twin Star Exorcists manga in Jump Square in November 2013, and it is ongoing. Shueisha published the manga's 19th volume on July 4. The manga's television anime adaptation premiered in Japan in 2016.
