M&C! Licenses We Never Learn, Please Take My Brother Away! Manga

Blue Phobia, Memory Capsule manga also licensed

Indonesian publisher M&C! announced last week that it has licensed the We Never Learn, Please Take My Brother Away!, Blue Phobia, and Memory Capsule manga. M&C! will publish the first volume of Memory Capsule on September 11, but did not reveal the release dates for the other manga.

Taishi Tsutsui's We Never Learn's (Boku-tachi wa Benkyō ga Dekinai) manga centers on Yuiga, a student who is aiming for a scholarship because he comes from a poor family. His school gives him a condition: he can have a recommendation for a scholarship if he tutors his two beautiful classmates to help them get into the schools of their choice. Ogata may be a science genius and Furuhashi a literature prodigy — but Ogata is aiming for a liberal arts school and Furuhashi is aiming for a science school. And they're both clueless outside their fields of expertise.

Tsutsui launched the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2017. Shueisha published the manga's 13th compiled book volume on September 4, and will ship the 14th volume on November 1 with a 25-minute video anime.

The first television anime season adaptation of the manga premiered on April 6. A second season will premiere on October 5.

Yu Lei's Chinese webcomic Please Take My Brother Away! (Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai!) centers on a violent girl who strikes her idiot older brother. The story also focuses on sibling love, love, and food. The web manga has been read more than 500 million times online in China.

The manga inspired two television anime adaptations, with a third season currently ongoing. The first season premiered in China in March 2017, and aired on Tokyo MX1 in Japan in April 2017. The second season premiered on Tokyo MX1 last July, and also streamed in China last summer.

Tencent debuted the third season in China in August, and the season will premiere in Japan on October 7.

Eri Tsuruyoshi's Blue Phobia manga begins when a boy wakes up inside a laboratory on a solitary island with no knowledge of his own identity. His movements are restrained, until a girl approaches him and calls him Kai. The girl's body seems to glow blue. Kai follows the girl through the depths of the laboratory, but all they see are human bones, all of them glowing blue.

Tsuruyoshi launched the manga in Shueisha's Young Jump magazine in December 2017. Shueisha published the manga's second and final compiled book volume in June 2018.

M&C! describes Memory Capsule:

Mayu lost her memories of the last two years due to an accident. When she wakes up, she receives a shock when she finds out that her father remarried, and she has a new mother and brother. While trying to process her new memories, her brother always makes her feel welcome, and her mother is kind to her. She wants her memories back, but she also feels afraid. She receives another shock when her brother says that they were secretly in love with each other. But what is the reality?

Futabasha published four compiled book volumes for the manga from 2014 to 2016.
